Casalguidi is 180 meters above sea level and represents a border point between the Florence - Prato - Pistoia plain and the Valdinievole. The area of the municipality is divided into two main areas, one to the North characterized by hilly areas that host medieval villages such as Castellina, Serravalle and Vinacciano, the other older and more populous, which also extends into the flat area to the South where the hamlets of Cantagrillo, Casalguidi and Ponte Stella are located. The latter, bordering the municipality of Pistoia, takes its name from the Stella stream that crosses it.
