Reggio Emilia


A few kilometers from the center of Reggio Emilia stands the "Casino del Genovese", a real estate complex from the end of the 18th century consisting of a manor house, an outbuilding and several other small ornamental buildings such as a dovecote, a pergola and various greenhouses.
The main building consists of a large central body of three floors, covered by a gabled roof crowned by a lovely terraced attic, flanked by two lower bodies both covered by a terrace.
With a floor plan of over 400 square meters for the first two floors, from the second it drops to around 320 square meters, the Casino has a heated indoor swimming pool with sauna and various services, a large tavern with games room on the ground floor; the main floor which is accessed from the majestic entrance staircase has ceilings in several rooms even over five meters with a double reception room, a frescoed dining room, a mini apartment for guests, a second bedroom with bathroom for guests; going up an internal marble staircase the next level hosts three double bedrooms, a double living room with fireplace and a ceiling of over 4 meters with frescoed coffered ceilings, two bathrooms, a laundry room and two terraces.
The general internal conditions are good both at a structural and conservative level, while some work is needed on the external elements of the casino.


The annex has been completely restored and houses the caretaker's apartment, a triple garage and on the upper floor an apartment of approximately 250 m2.
