It is something important to buy a house; it is something else to make a dream come true in a country that you love almost as much as your own native land. The dream had its roots in 5 years of research, which our son called "Estate Agent holidays". Internet searches and winters spent planning took us to many different regions of the Italian peninsula, from Tuscany to Puglia. We approached the challenge methodically, accompanied by a list of boxes to be ticked, indicating what we wanted to find in the area of our choice. Located between sea and mountain, our home is set in the National Park of Cilento. The property looks out over the Bay of Ogliastro Marina, with its stunning beaches and restaurants. The peaceful estate of Punta Licosa is on our doorstep and the house has splendid views of the 11th century town of Castellabate, the jewel in the crown of the hilltops around us. Casa Cameron, named after our son, has been the dream come true for the past 16 years. We have shared much love in this unique house and we like to think we have also given the house the love and care it deserved. As we move through life different priorities are set for all of us. We have the immense joy of being grandparents now and therefore spend much less time in Italy. We hope that whoever buys our home will have the same happiness in their lives. Casa Cameron is set on two levels. At ground floor level an entrance foyer opens up into a large living space, with fireplace. There is a guest bathroom cum shower room and a spacious kitchen with a Juliet balcony with sea view. At first floor level there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a wraparound balcony, again with sea views. On the upper level there is a panoramic roof terrace with stunning views. The property has a store room /cellar in the basement and there is a standalone office adjacent to the house. A terracotta-tiled patio surrounds the villa.
