In what was originally called Borgo della Paglia stands this formidable architectural testimony built in the mid-1500s by one of the most important families in Bolognese history and from which it takes its name: Palazzo Bentivoglio.
What today we have the pleasure of admiring at number 8 of the current Via Belle Arti is the facade of the building, which literally explodes with its solemn lines and on which you can see the heraldic symbols of the Bentivoglio: the eagle and the flame.
The male façade echoes the great Roman palaces of the Renaissance, such as Palazzo Farnese in Rome, but the most spectacular part of the building is still the spectacular courtyard with a double order of arcades, one of the richest in suggestive views and one of the most monumental of the whole city.
The upper loggia, left unfinished in the decorative part, repeats the architectural party of the one below; the rough and picturesque aspect of the unfinished part does not affect the beauty of the organism, on the contrary it gives it a very special charm.
Within these walls we offer for sale a breathtaking residence, which does not disappoint the expectations of those who have the honor of accessing the upper part of the building.
Each environment is unique and unrepeatable, embellished with timeless details.
The representation is large, with two sumptuous halls both with fireplace and an oval dining room, of great charm.
The kitchen, located next to the dining room, is an environment perfectly integrated into the style of the house, convivial, bright and complete with everything needed to serve important dinners.
The living area is completed by a study, in a deliberately decentralized position next to the entrance, and a guest bathroom.
In addition to the height of the ceilings, the size of the windows is surprising, designed to give precious natural light to the rooms, even in the less sunny months.
The most intimate area of the property consists of a master bedroom with robe and en suite bathroom and a bedroom on two levels: on the mezzanine we find the bathroom, with sauna.
The study and the first of the three halls have an enchanting view over the courtyard of the building, while the windows of the remaining rooms see the roofs of the historic center. The silence is absolute: once you enter the thick walls of this residence, the "roar" of the center seems to be something distant, totally forgotten.
It is a residence of great charm, reserved for those looking for a piece of history, perfectly preserved and ready to be lived in maximum comfort.
