Personal Profile

Before developing my career in Real Estate, I spent over 30 years in a number of operational and sales and marketing roles within the IT Industry. Over the years I have tackled roles in very large organizations with a global reach as well as the small companies, even including a couple of start-ups. Throughout my sales career I have learned several important things about myself. I quickly came to understand that I’m not what most might consider a ‘natural sale person’. I can’t talk about what I don’t know or understand. In other words, I can’t fake it. However, my clients have always known that if there is something I don’t know and they need to know, I’m not afraid to find out for them. One of the other things I have learned or probably more appropriately, come to appreciate, is that selling something to your client once is great, but for me, true personal satisfaction and pride comes from that client doing business with me the second time. There is always a leap of faith when a client works with you for the first time, but when that client returns to you the next time it’s because I have treated them well, provided them with value and built a level of trust with them. That is truly a fantastic moment for me! I grew up in Toronto and moved to Newmarket in 1985 and have lived in this area ever since. Over these many years I have shared in the incredible growth of our community and region. I truly believe York Region is one of the most livable areas to be in. I have served as a community volunteer in many capacities over the years, culminating as President of the Newmarket Minor Hockey Association. With 3 children of my own, I have come to appreciate the importance of having strong youth programs and a dynamic, safe and vital community. To me, York Region is all that. Selling and/or buying a home can be a very stressful event in one’s life. As you go through life your circumstances will change and so will your needs. There are few purchases or sales that will be as large or as important throughout your life.
