I am a Real Estate Sales Representative at Coldwell Banker Sarazen Realty Brokerage in Ottawa, ON Canada.
I believe in building on my strongest skill sets: entrepreneurship, urban planning and project management to act as the three cornerstones of my real estate business. Having the knowledge, experience and education in fields such as urban planning, project management and entrepreneurship allows me to better serve my clients in such a unique way that set me apart from my competition. I try to focus my business around those three principles that I’ve been building and refining for many years, ultimately providing for superior client knowledge and satisfaction.
My entrepreneurial past had me operating my own student painting business from a young age in Montreal during the spring and summer seasons, while perusing my double major in urban planning during the school year. This required a lot of discipline and added a lot of additional work to my already full course load. I won many awards for top producer and largest commercial project in the history of the painting franchise. After three years of operating the business, I graduated from my program with honors and knew that running my own business was in my future.
Studying urban planning in Montreal opened my eyes to the world around me, having moved from a small town in northern Quebec, the urban life peaked my interest and I wanted to understand everything about what forces were at play in shaping different parts of the city. Living in Ottawa, I use these skills everyday with my clients in introducing and educating them to different parts of Ottawa and what forces influence each neighborhood and suburb.
Coming from the north, mining has always been in my blood, I’ve been prospecting with my grandfather for as long as can remember, I studied mining engineering at Laurentian University in Sudbury and later found myself working for a mining company as part of a project management team in the Yukon. Much like project management, working with a client in real estate is more than just listing or helping them buy a home, it’s acting as the project manager for the client, so that they can continue to do what they do best and leave the rest in my hands, from attaining quotes for professional services, appraising properties to helping my clients negotiate their best deal and everything in-between.
On my down time I enjoy cycling, exploring and studying different neighborhoods around Ottawa and Kanata in all their intricacies; seeing what sets one particular neighborhood apart from another, studying different building forms, developments, barriers and links, different builders and building styles. I also like to keep active with gymnastics, horseback riding and skiing amongst many other interests. Meeting and working with new clients brings extreme excitement and joy to me and many of my clients have become close friends as a result of our positive experience together.
