After growing up in Victoria I spent a few years in Vancouver prior to heading overseas for an extended stay in Japan. I returned to Canada seven years ago to take care of family, and I am really excited to be in what I believe is one of the most important roles in the capital; helping people put down roots here. Victoria is, in my opinion, the best place to live anywhere.
Like many others, I was not born here. I came to Victoria as a youngster with my family (from Ireland). The entire process of viewing and buying a home was a monumental and memorable experience. In fact, it was impressive enough to influence me to spend a spell in Tokyo's highly specialized expat real estate market during my 24-year stay there.
In my opinion, securing a home is one of the greatest contributors to a person's sense of stability and security - not to mention identity. It gives people the foundation (both literally and figuratively) from which to build the other components of their lives. Its importance cannot be overstated. It is also a most rewarding experience for many people - and I want to contribute to the success of such pivotal moments, making them as memorable as possible.
