Clayton was born and raised in Oxford County. He has been an area resident all his life and currently resides just outside the village of Norwich. Clayton is a graduate of Conestoga College with a Diploma in Accounting. He is very active in community groups. Clayton has been a member of the local Optimist Club since it chartered in 1991, as well as being a founding member of the local KidSport chapter in 2005, of which he is also an executive member.
Clayton started his career in sales in 1985 working for Henderson Recreation, a local playground manufacturer. With a keen interest in different home styles, and a talent for dealing with people, Clayton began his real estate career in 2005 with Coldwell Banker - G.R. Paret Realty Ltd.
