Personal Profile

Theo Neilly is the personable Member of Parliament for North Eleuthera. His desire to help build his country started in high school in Eleuthera. He is the first Bahamas out island recipient of the Duke of Edinburgh's silver award, which is based on service and youth development.

Theo completed his studies for his bachelor's degree in biology at Palm Beach Atlantic University, Florida and studies leading to a masters degree in Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. He's served as manager of the North Eleuthera Airport and superintendent of the Department of Civil Aviation in North Eleuthera. Before that he was an assistant manager of the exclusive Rock House Resort and Restaurants in Harbour Island.

Theo is a respected and popular resident of Eleuthera, having served as an elected member of Local Government for many years as well as Chief Councillor of the North Eleuthera District.

A member of the Rotary Club of Eleuthera, he's lectured for the Ministry of Tourism's BahamaHost programme, is vice- president of the North Eleuthera Historical Society and a member of The Bahamas National Trust and Amnesty International.
